Co-creating With The Sea
Literally painting with the sea, by the sea side, with the seawater and immersing the art in the ocean is such a liberating painting experience. Allowing the ocean to be a part of the painting in its own way and embodying it physically gave me a whole new way of create abstract expressionism art.
I’ve always loved intuitive painting of nature and the sea and what it means to me but this time I had a desire for the sea to paint with me. It’s interesting this process as you really need to let go, let go of what it might look like, let go of how you want it done, let go of any expectations. To my surprise the letting go was a new freedom in the process I hadn’t experienced before.
The ocean really is beautiful, mysterious, wild and free and it’s just this I found myself to be.
